Job Description:
To ensure at all times that Mumbai office of Packt has sufficient pool of talent available from which to choose prospective employees of acceptable standard to deliver Packt’s overall business goals on a continued basis.
Recruitment: Measured by comparing the recruitment plan versus actual head count
Other duties: Number of complaints (or absence thereof) regarding leave and salary management, confirmation letters, resignation letters, maintain office policy documents, look into staff business visits etc.
Activities
Recruitment process:
Screen CVs from job portals/agencies
Access candidates
Make appointments
Administer tests
Take preliminary interviews
Maintain written interview notes and circulate among relevant line managers
Organize test checking with the line managers
Organize 2nd and further rounds of interviews
Prepare draft contracts
Administer contract documents
Maintain candidate log
Reporting
Maintain daily and weekly timesheets and scorecards
Submit weekly report on weekly recruitment progress
Submit a monthly report to include the review of the month’s work along the lines of:
Goals for the month
Reality of where we stand (with key challenges)
Discuss issues, if any
Proposals for actions
What actions taken
Desired Profile:
The role bears the responsibility of conveying the company values and its key message to a section of the outside world.
It is also a role that has access to processes of all departments in the company.
As the behaviour of the HRE will be taken to symbolize embodiment of the company’s values, it is important that HRE leads from the front in this respect.
