Job Description:
The jobholder will be responsible for assisting processing of new business, servicing policy applications and assessing and underwriting new business in accordance with the established Company procedures and standards up to the assigned limit
Context:The jobholder will be involved with the processing new business, policy servicing and underwriting business and will maintain strict confidentiality in dealing with sensitive medical/ personal information relating to all customers.
Main Priorities: Policy issuance
Conduct quality check of all data entries and ensure processing within benchmark timelines
Comply with established Company procedures in a consistent manner and contribute to the introduction of improvements as and when required.
Assess, evaluate and underwrite applications within authorised underwriting limits; assessing and evaluating medical evidence, commensurate with risk presented
Provide an accurate, high quality and speedy underwriting service that builds customer relations and credibility
Provide preliminary underwriting opinion to underwriter for further assessment
Reconcile and settle medical service bills for customers
Generate MIS.
Address queries related to proposals
Desired Profile:
Graduate/ Post graduate, preferably in insurance or pharmaceutical from a reputed university/ institute.
Skills/ knowledge:
Proficiency in using databases and office management software such as MS word and excel
Eye for detail
Experience:
Minimum of 1 - 3 years experience in operations in Financial Services or Insurance sector
Prior experience in data processing will be preferred
Good knowledge of the insurance regulatory environment and competitor awareness
Strong Communications and problem solving skills
