Description:
Hostway is seeking technocrats who are eager, energetic and highly motivated for a Software Engineer position with our Engineering Group, located in Mumbai. The applicant will be expected to work in a team oriented environment tackling tasks at various stages in the development process ranging from requirements gathering to implementation and testing.
Required Skills:
6 months - 1 year web application programming experience using PHP/Perl (professional or academic).
Knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP).
Strong programming, analysis and design skills.
Expertise in multiple programming languages preferred.
Working knowledge of Sessions, Cookies, XML Structures, etc.
Preferred knowledge of Javascript, AJAX, DHTML, DOM Scripting, CSS.
Working knowledge of both Unix and Windows in a software development setting. Prefer strength in Unix (all flavors) environment.
Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems.
Basic networking knowledge.
Strong HTTP Fundamentals.
Familiarity with relational database concepts and RDBMS systems such as MySQL, Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL Server.
Must be a good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
