Job Description :

Written Test for the captioned positions notified against Advt No. KP/S/01/2010 is scheduled on Sunday, 18.04.2010, 11.00 Hrs to 13.00 Hrs at Bangalore. Admit card has been dispatched by speed post and intimation by e-mail to all the shortlisted candidates.

Names of the successful candidates shortlisted for written exam is notified in the website (Please click on the link at the bottom to download).

Names of the successful candidates shortlisted for interview will be notified in the website on 19th / 20th April 2010 alongwith the schedule of interview which will commence from 21st April 2010 onwards.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES: 

1. In case any candidate(s) have not received the admit card through speed post/ e-mail, but his/ her name is there in the eligible list hosted in the website, such candidates are requested to download the blank format of the admit card and bring the same duly filled in for appearing for the written test.

2. Please affix a self attested recent passport size colour photograph in the space provided in the admit card. Candidates without photograph will not be allowed for the written test.

3. Candidates should produce the admit card at the venue of the Written Test, which will be collected back along with answer sheet after the Written Test.

4. Candidates without the Admit Card will not be allowed to appear for the Written Test.

5. Candidates should be punctual and report for the Written Test at the time mentioned above. Late comers beyond 30 minutes will not be permitted to appear for the Written Test.

6. About the Written Test:
a. The Written Test will be objective type in nature.
b. All questions will have multiple choices as answers (A, B, C, and D). The candidate is expected to darken the circle he/she thinks is right as correct option in the Answer Sheet as provided. Candidates should mark their answer with blue/black ball point pen in the answer sheet.

7. The Question paper will comprise of two sections (Part A & B) with total of 150 questions. Part A (Functional) comprising of 100 questions from discipline & Part – B (General Aptitude) comprising of 50 questions from English, Quantitative ability, Analytical ability & General awareness etc. The duration of the test will be 120 minutes.

8. The examination rooms/hall will be opened 30 minutes before the commencement of the test. Candidates should take their seat immediately after opening of the examination hall. If the candidates do not report in time, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the Examination.

9. A seat indicating roll number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidates should find out and occupy their allotted seat only. Any candidate found to have changed room or the seat on his/her own other than allotted, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and no plea would be accepted for it.

10. The candidates are being called for Written Test based on the premise that they meet the advertised criteria as stipulated in advertisement no. KP/S/01/2010 and on the basis of data furnished in the application form. In case, any candidate(s) whose name is appearing in the eligible list but are not meeting the requisite advertisement criteria, they will be disqualified and their candidature will not be considered. Accordingly, candidates are advised that despite they are issued with the call letters, in their own interest, they should verify the facts before appearing for the Written Test. Their candidature will be considered strictly on the basis of the above advertised criteria. 11. Incase, it is detected at any stage of recruitment process, that the candidates doesn’t fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he / she has furnished any incorrect / false information or has suppressed any material facts, his / her candidature with stand automatically cancelled. If any of the above shortcomings is / are detected even after appointment, his/ her services are liable to be terminated without notice and necessary actions will be taken as deemed fit by the Company.

12. Candidates must ensure that they bring the following document (s), when they report at the Examination Venue:
(a) Admit Card with self attested photograph along with a valid id proof preferably (College ID, Driving License, Voter ID or Passport etc).
(b) Travelling Allowance Claim Form (Please click on the link at the bottom to download) As per the company rules candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be eligible for reimbursement of to and fro III AC Train Fare (Except Rajdhani/ Shatabdi Express) / Bus fare by the shortest route on production of Train / Bus Tickets or photocopy of the same for attending the Written Test subject to production of the attested copy of caste certificate (to be submitted to the Invigilator at the time of Written Test). No local conveyance & tatkal charges will be reimbursed.

13. Carrying of any textual material, Calculators, Slide Rules, mobile phone or any other device etc, are prohibited inside the Examination Room/Hall.

14. Names of the successful candidates shortlisted for interview will be notified in the website on 19th / 20th April 2010 alongwith the schedule of interview which will commence from 21st April 2010 onwards. Accordingly candidates may plan their stay and also bring the original and one set of self attested copies certificates and testimonials for verification.

15. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification and liable for rejection of his/ her candidature.

Note:
(i) As laid down in the advertisement the stipulated aggregate [all semester(s)/ year(s) as applicable] percentage of marks of 60% (SC/ST - 55%) for Executive Trainees and 70% (SC/ST-65%) for Management Trainees are applicable only to the qualifying examination i.e MBA/ Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Management.
(ii) While filling the aggregate percentage of marks, candidates having any other pattern of evaluation i.e CGPA etc in their qualifying exam i.e MBA/ Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Management, other than percentage method are required to convert their respective Grades/ Marks to percentage pattern based on the applicable conversion formula.
(iii) The Instructions mentioned at Note (i) & (ii) will not be applicable for candidates possessing a CA Degree (Passed not Pursuing) applying for the position of Executive/ Management Trainee.
