Overview
Position Responsibilities:
Design, develop, implement, test, document and deliver large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using Objected Oriented programming, distributed programming, C++, Java, Perl, SQL, Oracle, and MySQL in a Linux environment. Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Serve as a key technical resource in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from conception, design, implementation and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Own delivery of entire piece of system or application, and serve as technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards. Mentor junior development engineers.
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus at least one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related. Experience in the job offered or related occupation must involve developing distributed software using Objected Oriented programming, C++ or Java, distributed programming, and Oracle or MySQL in a Linux or UNIX environment. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty as equivalent to the Master's degree.
